Challenge
The designer had years of strong work but no clear bridge between portfolio evidence, advisory services and current availability.
Strategy
We treated the site as a living editorial system: selected work, practical writing, service clarity and a contact page that sets expectations.
Design Approach
The design stays minimal but not empty. Texture, captions, numbered lists and muted accents keep the experience distinctive without overwhelming the work.
Implementation
Journal posts and projects use separate content collections. Shared layouts keep publishing consistent while preserving enough flexibility for long-form thinking.
Salt Studio needed a portfolio that could support a more mature business model. The site had to show selected work, explain advisory services and give writing a meaningful place without feeling like a blog bolted onto a portfolio.
Northframe’s content model separated projects from journal posts, then connected them through related CTAs, metadata and a consistent editorial system. This gave the designer a clearer way to publish without starting from a blank page.
The final site feels calm and self-assured. It helps prospective clients understand both the work and the conditions where the designer is most useful.
